Shmily at Changi Airport

It's ten minutes to the boarding time and I'll fly back to Vietnam for a short holiday trips of 8 days after more than one year. I don't know why but I have no special feeling. I think I feel more comfortable here in Singapore. Ha ha. You might not agree but after more than three years living here, I feel like at home when I'm in Singapore. Anyway, I'm going to meet my friends again later and it's supposed to be a lot of fun. Yeah!

Tea with old SaS people

On the occasion of Grand Launch, we 8th Start-up at Singapore people gathered together for a warm tea while there was a cold rain outside. It has been two years since we last met. I'm the only person who gets fatter after the long time, unfortunately. I miss Peter and Christina but they were not with us tonight. Good night!

SunRay

SunRay is a small hardware box running Solaris system. It is the standard platform used in Sun Microsystems office for all Sun employees. The employees can have the flexibility to switch to any SunRay in the office without losing configurations and documents.
As an intern at Sun, I also have access to SunRay. In the picture is one of the SunRay which I used to work today. You can see how small it is. The 20.1 inch monitor, the Unix keyboard and the optical mouse are all branded by Sun. It's a nice working environment I have to say. If it didn't take me half an hour to travel to the office, I would come there everyday.

Shmily in Dental Center

I didn't feel well for the last three days. Finally I discover that it's because of a wisdom tooth in my jaw. I'm really nervous. I pulled out one wisdom tooth last year and it was so painful that I couldn't eat anything for two weeks. Moreover, the charge for pulling it out in Singapore is from 150 to 400 dollars, too expensive! I wish I can wait until December when I can come back to Vietnam and mom can take care of me when I'm too painful to do anything. However, I think the tooth just can't wait to grow, and even if it can, it will spoil the whole holiday of mine in december. Poor me!

Mr. Coca

This is the vending machine at the old SoC1 building. Each time I'm waiting for the bus here, I often recall those days when we were still here. I like coca and you do, too. You like the apple flavour and thus I bought you one although it's more expensive than others. We shared the drink and felt very happy. When you come back here, I'll take you to those memorable places again...

The Silver Cars

My dear,
I still remember the first time you came to Singapore. You told me joyfully that you like silver cars a lot. I gave you a smile back because I thought you were so childish and your smile was just as lovely as those actresses in the Korean movies I watched. And now, whenever I see the silver cars, I think of you, I recall the happy time that we had together...
Soon after you left, I was kicked out of the paradise where we were together. I took this picture in front of the new house, on the way to the bus stop. There's a car park with a number of silver cars. If you were here, you would like it a lot.
I'm moving back to the old place but without you by my side, it's no longer a happy paradise with joy and laughs. I miss you. So do the pigs and crabs...

Sun Microsystems Pte. Ltd.

I've just come back from Sun's office. It locates in the Central Mall building and occupies two storeys 6 and 7. Well, it's a quite nice place I have to say, splendid, large, modern and tidy. That's also the place where I'll work for next year.
After one year joining Sun as a campus ambassador in Nus, this year I get promoted and take over the coordinator position from my previous manager, who has just graduated. The position is challenging and I'm still struggling a lot. Hope everything will be fine.
My black shoes

Do you think they're new shoes? Well, they look quite new although I'm quite sure that they should be more than one year old. The reason why they don't look their age is ... well, you've probably known, because I seldom use.
I hate shoes because they make me totally uncomfortable. Together with T-shirt, shoes make me feel extremely hot. I thus will sweater a lot and it doesn't look good at all.
I'm going to change a new more comfortable shoes this time when I go back to Vietnam. Although I might not look so great with the new shoes, I prefer to go for comfort when it comes to be a whole day in the office. Splendid shoes simply don't work.
